The US men’s 3×3 Basketball team entered the Pan American Games with a massive performance. The team wreaked havoc in their opening game at Santiago, Chile to register an overwhelming win. Interestingly, the centerpiece of the huge American win was a former teammate of LeBron James’ trusted ally, Anthony Davis.

Jimmer Fredette has been laying siege to the defense of every opposition he faces for quite some time now. The former teammate of LeBron James’ trusted ally made his 3×3 debut in 2022 and has been on fire ever since. His offensive prowess ruled throughout the match as El Salvador suffered a crushing defeat with a score of 22-8. USA Basketball 3×3 tweeted an image of Fredette along with the match result on its official X account to celebrate the win.

The tweet carried the caption, “LIGHTS OUT shooting performance from the US Men, who sank seven 2-pointers, to take game one of #Santiago2023!” The American team dominated the scoreboard and didn’t allow El Salvador to even cross the 10-point margin. Just like LeBron James, Fredette led the team in scoring with nine points in the bag. In fact, eight of his nine points came from two-point shots from downtown.
