Name, image, and likeness, commonly known as NIL, has been a game changers in the current college scene. Indeed, these contracts, sometimes worth millions and capable of launching multiple careers, have significantly changed the landscape surrounding these junior athletes, providing them with financial stability as they pursue their athletic dreams.
NIL has given big opportunities to many of those who have signed these contracts while under a program in their college, as some of them can now dream of becoming more than just a professional athlete. These deals also paved the way for a former NCAA Division 3 basketball star to become a millionaire through a specific business strategy.
Yes, I’m talking about Antoine Hyman, who is currently the CEO of Glory2Glory Sports Agency. Prior to becoming one of the best businessmen in the industry out there, he was a premier defensive player on the Keuka College Wolves basketball team. His career? It was stunning, as he had 440 shots, making him second all-time in NCAA Division 3 history and no. 10 for all divisions. Furthermore, he is Keuka’s all-time leading rebounder (885) and scored 1,274 points in his stellar career.

Back then, there was no NIL, but in the current college sports scene, these contracts are taking over, and Hyman sees a huge opportunity in it. Indeed, he is also serving as an agent to Aquinas Institute football standout Quante Gillians, who just accepted a six-figure NIL deal from Syracuse University. As reported by Rochester Business Journal, the former basketball star spoke out on these contracts, stating, “These athletes no longer sign a National Letter of Intent; it’s a contract. We’re in the midst of a renaissance as it relates to marketing. For the first time, businesses are able to use these student athletes in their sacred space and extract value from it.”
Hyman is indeed sure that this is the future of college sports, as many more students would be attracted to grab these deals as soon as possible in their respective college careers. And everything is connected to marketing, as these organizations take the young athletes to promote their products and even turn them into good profit, owing to their popularity on social media. “We’re finding there’s at least a five-X return. Because of their age, these student athletes are strong influencers,” said the former basketball star turned CEO.

As of January 2025, the Glory2Glory Sports Agency hasn’t disclosed its financial details but has been rumored to be a million-dollar business. Indeed, the agency has been helpful to students who have been searching for NIL deals, as they have been helping them find contracts in this evolving NCAA landscape. This really shows how important NIL has become in recent years, as one time it also helped two major names in the WWE industry end their past feud over it.
NIL mending past relationships
An avid WWE fan must be aware of the feud between Scott Steiner and Triple H. Indeed, it all started back in 2002 and only got big when Steiner left the industry with polarized opinions on how Triple H used his influence backstage. However, keeping it all aside, when the former WWE star offered Steiner’s son, Brock Rechsteiner, a NIL deal, the perspective of his all-time rival changed in no time.

Steiner was candid about his decision on the Busted Open Podcast, stating, “I left with a lot of hard feelings, you know what I mean? But, you know, at some point you got to let it be. You can’t be angry the whole time. You can’t hold a grudge. Plus the fact some people that you have a grudge against probably don’t even know, anyway. So, I didn’t want to screw up anything for him. So, I, you know, I just buried the hatchet, and, a matter of fact, uh, Hunter called me the other day, maybe like, uh, probably three weeks ago, and offered my boy, my boy an NIL deal.”
The former WWE star acknowledged that there’s no point in holding a grudge against Triple H after what they offered his son. Indeed, the NIL deals are huge for college athletes, and Steiner is aware of it. So he doesn’t want to come in between his son and his career and decided to drop all the past feuds he had with Triple H. It’s just fascinating to see what these deals can do.
