Despite his initial enthusiasm for the event, the outcome left him feeling disillusioned. Initially, Dave Portnoy had his quota of banter with the Loyola assistant coach. He asked him about his Michigan days and made a witty point. Although the Loyola coach Sean Dwyer seemed lip-tight and replied with equal wit. When asked about Connor Stalions, Sean joked that Connor should be tuned in for the match and could hear him talking. After the satirical exchange, the FAU dominated the whole game without their key players, which led them to the sensational end.
