Atlanta Braves put on an extraordinary performance in the World Series, to clinch their historic title. However, while many players pushed their limits, what Max Fried did was beyond incredible.

The 27-year-old’s heroics were on display, as he overcame a career-threatening ankle injury, to throw his personal best pitch. Notably, the Atlanta Braves knocked out the Houston Astros, ending their World Series dream with a 7-0 scoreline in the last game.

Max Fried throws a 98.4 mph fastball

The Atlanta Braves and Houston Astros clashed in Game 6 of the seven-match series on Tuesday night. Notably, the Braves walked into the match with a three-game lead.

The game started with an injury scare for the Braves, as their star pitcher, Max Fried’s ankle, was accidentally stepped on by Houston Astros’ Michael Brantley. Astonishingly, Fried pulled through the pain and further led the Braves to victory with his pitch.

Despite the scary experience, Max seemed unstoppable. He threw his career’s fastest pitch with an injured ankle, at a 98.4 mph speed, to strike out Yuli Gurriel.

In-game five of the World Series, the Astros handed the Braves an upsetting loss. Hence, Max knew how important the comeback was on Tuesday night, and clearly, he played an important role in the turnaround.

Atlanta Braves first win in the 21st century

Insane home runs and heroic pitches marked Atlanta Braves’ first-ever Fall Series title since 1995. The Braves have outclassed every opponent with their determination and willpower to break their losing streak. In the World Series, Braves clinched four out of six games, finishing the series before Game 7.

While the 2017 World Series winners, Houston Astros, came with better odds of winning the title, the Braves have successfully triumphed over them. Now, with their incredible outing, no Braves critics can count them out, ever.
