Earlier, New York Yankees had announced they were looking out for all the possibilities; however, no confirmation has come in yet. Hence, fans called out Yankees General Manager, Brian Cashman, for sleeping his way through the process.
Twitter erupts as New York Yankees fans call out the front office
The Yankees are estimated to have a net worth of $5 billion, causing other teams a threat of losing top agents. However, the free agency deals have been shocking this off-season, as the Yankees are yet to make a purchase. Since other teams are aggressively making deals with star players, there are many names that could have been in the pinstripes next season, but have now signed for their rivals.
Verlander (Houston Astros), Jose Berrios (Blue Jays), Wacha (Red Sox), Kluber (Rays) are some of the top names off the charts. Notably, the New York Mets have significantly strengthened their 2022 squad, spending on Starling Marte, Mark Canha, and Eduardo Escobar.
Yankees’ fans thought their team would grab the best deals this off-season, but the management’s slow process is making them bite their nails, as they watch potential players go off-limits.

There have been literally zero #Yankees rumors for like the past week, so either Cashman is working on a few things or he’s sleeping.

The #yankees are actually pissing me off. I haven’t heard jack shit about them since cashman talked at the gm meetings. He literally named like 5 deficiencies the team needed to fill and we haven’t filled a single one yet. Available options are decreasing #SquadUp

I’ll always root for the Yankees, but if they try to run the same team back and see if they’ll win, they’re aren’t “The Yankees” any more. Why spend money to support them if they won’t do what’s necessary to win? #Yankees

New York Yankees are well-known for handing players huge offers, ones they can’t decline. However, this season, it isn’t the Yankees who are the big spenders. On Black Friday, Mets went on a spending spree, debiting $125 million to gain three players in the team.
Not done yet, the Mets have now offered Max Scherzer an insane deal. According to Andy Martino, the Mets have offered one of the best starting pitchers over a $40 million deal per season, for a multi-season contract. Notably, if Max agrees, he will have the highest AVV in the history of baseball. Now, the question is, are the Yankees saving money this season?
Moreover, are they saving up to acquire some big stars like Carlos Correa or Corey Seager for their shortstop needs? Yankees’ front office might surprise everyone with an unexpected deal; however, whatever they intend on doing, needs to be done before the lockout.
