Carlos Rodon’s wife excited as New York Yankees show interest
29-year-old Carlos Rodon was part of the Chicago White Sox since 2015. Notably, in the 2021 season, he also made it to the All-star team. However, he entered the free agency this off-season and has been in high demand since. According to the reports, some big names like the New York Yankees, Boston Red Sox, and Los Angeles Angels see him as their potential future shortstop.
Despite their interest, the teams cannot make any move right now to secure him for the next season, because of the lockout. Notably, Carlos’ wife, Ashley Rodón, was thrilled after seeing her husband’s name linked to so many teams, especially to the richest franchise, the New York Yankees.
Replying to a report on Twitter, Ashley wrote, ”Man, wouldn’t it be cool to end the lockout and find out 😂.”

Stats prove Carlos was underpaid
During the 2021 season, Carlos earned $3 million with the Chicago White Sox. While according to the stats, he played 24 games, in which he had 132.2 IP, 2.37 ERA, 2.65 FIP, 3.17 xFIP, and 4.9 fWAR. Remarkably, those are some promising numbers produced by the starting pitcher.
However, the New York Yankees already have their star and highest-paid player on the pitching side, Gerrit Cole. Albeit, they might look to add more pitchers in their lineup. Do you think New York Yankees will make an effort to sign Carlos Rodon once the lockout is lifted?
