John Krasinski was hit by a ‘cream bagel’ for wearing a Boston Red Sox jersey

John Krasinski, who received his stardom after playing the role of Jim Halpert in ‘The Office’, hails from Boston. Expectedly, John has been fond of his home team, the Boston Red Sox. On the ‘Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon’, John revealed the bizarre encounter he had during his first time in New York City.

John was interning at the 30 Rockefeller and was going for his usual lunch. However, he made the mistake of wearing the Boston Red Sox jersey on rival land; and what followed is best heard in John’s words.

“I was wearing a Nomar Garciaparra jersey. I was walking along about to get lunch and just something hit me in the back of the head. It was a full, cream cheese bagel. And I looked over to see who it was. It was a taxi going like 20 miles an hour,” John revealed on the show.

John praised the cab driver’s accuracy

While anyone else in the world would be mad to be hit by a bagel in the middle of the day, John had a surprising takeaway from the encounter. John said, ”I couldn’t be mad. The trajectory to hit..he must’ve been drafted after that. It was really good.”

John also admitted he still makes the mistake of wearing a Boston Red Sox jersey in New York, as he’s a fan. Do you think it was fair of the cab driver to randomly throw a bagel at another team’s fan?
