Former Seattle Mariners’ player, Jake Bauers signed a minor league deal with Cincinnati Reds for the upcoming season. MLB insider replied, Minor league deals are permitted during the lockout, but only for minor league free agents. If a player became a free agent as a major league player — like Carlos Correa — he can’t sign any contract (major or minor) with a club. Bauers was a minor league free agent.”

Hence, Carlos cannot sign a major/minor league deal, and fans will have to wait until the lockout ends to see what his future holds.
