MLB legend Alex “A-Rod” Rodriguez has not played baseball for over 5-6 years now. But, every then and now, A-Rod is always in the news for his other activities. The former New York Yankees’ shortstop and current businessman philanthropist, retired from the game after the 2016 season.

After his retirement, A-Rod has appeared for various TV channels as an analyst and has done tons of advertisements too. He also made news for his relationship with international model Jennifer Lopez. A-Rod and Lopez got separated in 2021 after their two years of engagement.

A-Rod cheers for Green Bay Packers from stands

Recently on Saturday night, A-Rod appeared in the NFC Divisional Round Playoff match between Green Bay Packers and San Francisco 49ers. The Yankees legend was in the stands wearing Packers’ gears. A-Rod was cheering for the Packers in their playoff match against the 49ers in freezing conditions.

 

However, Green Bay Packers ended up losing the match 13-10 to the 49ers. And with this victory, the San Francisco 49ers are just one step away from making their second Super Bowl appearance in the last three seasons.

The Yankees legend begged for this $9.9 million flat

Recently, A-Rod bought a lavish flat worth $9.9 million in Central Park West. If reports are to be believed, then the Yankees legend begged for this swanky flat at Manhattan. As per the New York Post., the building’s board did not want a celebrity to live in their building. This is why the board denied selling the co-op in the first place.

But the former Yankees’ shortstop begged to the board for this property and eventually ended up purchasing the three-bedroom, five-and-a-half-bathroom unit at the Beresford co-op building at Central Park West.

Apart from having an illustrious career in Major League Baseball, A-Rod is one of the richest sportspersons on the planet. Having played over 20 seasons in Major League Baseball, A-Rod is one of the greatest baseball players of all time. During his 22 years of MLB career, he played for Seattle Mariners, Texas Rangers, and New York Yankees. He played his last MLB game in the 2016 season for the Yankees.
