From baseball fans to the players themselves, almost everyone is frustrated with the ongoing lockout in Major League Baseball. On 2nd December 2021, the Collective Bargaining Agreement between players and the owners expired, and since then the lockout is in force in MLB. However, the Atlanta Braves pitcher Tyler Matzek has come up with an interesting idea to play baseball. The Braves star wants MLB players to play an All-Star Series on their own.
Recently in January, the MLB Players’ Association and the owners had a couple of meetings regarding the new agreement, but the two parties have not found a solution yet.

Even after two months of the lockout, players and the owners have not agreed to a new CBA deal. And this must be frustrating for not only baseball fans but also for the players. Considering the current situation, it is very unlikely that the league games will start as scheduled. The spring training is also likely to be compromised.
Tyler Matzek’s idea of playing an All-Star Series
However, World Series winner and the Braves pitcher Tyler Matzek shared an interesting idea to play an All-Star Series with the current MLB players on their own. Matzek suggested that the series should be of 5-7 games, and it will be live-streamed for the fans.
Idea: MLB players put on an all star series of their own. Live stream it and play a 5-7 game series. Get professional cameras set up, in game interviews and behind the scenes access. Do large teams, something like 50 players with everyone having to play. Would fans tune in?

The Braves star took to his Twitter and proposed that these games could have professional camera set up, in-game interviews, and behind the scene access. Something similar to “The Match” of golf.

Do it something like “The Match” that golf does but for baseball. Now’s the only time we can do something like this.
