MLB giants, St. Louis Cardinals, on January 16th announced their 12 new signings on the first day of the 2021-22 international signing period. Those included Dominican Republic shortstop Jonathan Mejia and South Korean center fielder Won-Bin Cho. While announcing the signings, the Cardinals shared a picture of Won-Bin Cho with the team’s gear and the cutest of dogs in the frame.
After the tweet by the Cardinals, the dog in the picture went viral on the internet and stole the limelight. Moreover, fans started speculating about the whereabouts of the dog.
Cho, 18, is a toolsy, power-hitting centerfielder and one of the top high school prospects out of Seoul, SK.

Who does the Cardinals’ dog belong to?
After a while, to end the speculations, Jeff Passan of ESPN confirmed that the dog’s name is Henny. Passan also confirmed that the dog does not belong to Cho, but his agent, Han Lee.
“The dog’s name is Henny, He is a 3-year-old golden retriever. He is a very good boy. He belongs to Han Lee, Cho’s agent,” tweeted Passan.

Passan also revealed that Henny and his family are Instagram stars. With around 50k followers on Instagram, Henny and his family are quite famous.
The very next day of his signing with the Cardinals, Cho posted another photo with Henny, in which Cho and Henny can be seen wearing the Cardinals’ cap.

Who is Won-Bin Cho?

The Cardinals on Jan 16th signed Won-Bin Cho as one of the many signings on the first day of the international signing period of 2021-22. Cho is a power-hitting center fielder and one of the top high school prospects out of South Korea’s Seoul. The 18-year-old became the first Asian amateur player to sign with the Cardinals.
Mejia, 16, is a switch-hitting shortstop from La Romana, DR and is ranked No. 14 on @MLBPipeline's Top 50 list.

Along with Won-Bin Cho, the Cardinals also signed a 16-year-old shortstop Jonathan Mejia from Dominican Republic’s La Ramona. Mejia is ranked 14th on the list of top 50 prospects by MLB Pipeline.
