Baseball Writers’ Association of America (BBAA) on Tuesday announced the result of the National Baseball Hall of Fame. And the Boston Red Sox legend David Ortiz was elected for this year’s Baseball Hall of Fame. With 77.9 percent votes, Ortiz is the only former MLB player to get the honor by the BBAA this year.

However, baseball fans, former players, and many current players are not happy with this year’s result. As they believe that the legends like Barry Bonds and Roger Clemens also deserved to be inducted into the Hall of Fame. Notably, this was their last year of eligibility on the ballot to get their name on the list. After the results, Chicago Cubs star Marcus Stroman showed his disappointment over the Baseball Writers’ Association of America and called them biased.

Legends like Barry Bonds and Roger Clemens were not on the list of this year’s Baseball Hall of Fame. And their snub sparked a reaction from baseball stars, including Chicago Cubs star Marcus Stroman.

After BBAA announced the result on Tuesday, Stroman was probably the most disappointed person in the world. He took his Twitter to show his protest against the BBAA and called them biased. The star pitcher vouched for Barry Bonds, Pete Rose, and Roger Clemens. As he believed, along with David Ortiz, they should have also been inducted into the Hall of Fame.

In one of his tweets, Stroman said that instead of writers, players should have the authority to vote for Hall of Fame. He termed it a scam.

“It’s a travesty that biased “writers” who have never played the game get to vote on who gets in and not. It’s actually comical that this is the process. What a scam. Pre-historic mindsets. Jurassic Park-ass shenanigans. Lol,” said Stroman.
