After years of his retirement, baseball fans would have thought that A-Rod may no longer hit the ball, like his playing days. Like every baseball fan, A-Rod is also missing baseball. Not to forget, Major League Baseball is going through the owners’-imposed lockout. And to show his love for the game of baseball, the Yankees legend decided to hold the bat himself.

Taking to his Twitter, A-Rod shared a video of him practicing in the nets. Though A-Rod retired from baseball seven years ago, his ability to hit the ball has remained the same. In the video, A-Rod’s hitting is so clean that many current players might not be able to hit like him.

MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred cancels regular-season games
While Alex’s game hasn’t changed much, the game of baseball itself is seeing some drastic shifts now. Earlier this week, when the players’ union rejected the owners’ proposal for the CBA, MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred removed at least 90 games of the regular season. Notably, the owners had given a deadline of Feb 28th to the players’ union to get the collective bargaining agreement done.

But, since the players’ demands didn’t meet with the owners’ proposal, they didn’t agree to the CBA. And Manfred went on to cancel a number of league games. Now, fans will have to wait for at least a month more to watch games in ballparks.
