The ongoing lockout in Major League Baseball is proving to be a curse on the game of baseball. Notably, even after three months, the owners and the players’ union haven’t moved an inch from their stand. Therefore, as a result, MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred has canceled league games for the next season.

It’s no secret that the owners and players, both, were in favor of not delaying the regular season. But, since the players’ union didn’t accept the owners’ final proposal for the new Collective Bargaining Agreement, the lockout will continue.

Earlier on Tuesday, when Manfred announced the cancelation of league games, not only the baseball fans but many players also trolled and criticized him for damaging the season.

The financial fight between the owners and players has now cost a number of league games. And even now, there are no certainties regarding the start of the next season. Notably, this is the very first time in the last 27 years that MLB owners had to cancel regular-season games, in order to get the new CBA deal done.

With the three-month lockout, fans and players were already in frustration. And now when MLB Commissioner Manfred announced the cancelation of league games, baseball fans and players blasted all over him.

 

Baseball fans blamed Manfred for destroying the game of baseball. While some even said that he is the worst thing that happened to the sport.

Marcus Stroman takes a dig at Manfred over MLB lockout

Taking to his Twitter, the Cubs star didn’t hold even one bit while criticizing Manfred for the current scenario in MLB.

“FANS…this man doesn’t care about any of y’all. Don’t get it twisted. The players are ready to perform, compete, and interact with all of you,” said Stroman.

 “However, Manfred has been ruining our game while playing puppet boy to the owners. That’s a fact. We remain ready and anxious to play!”

While the players like Michael Lorenzen and Anthony Rizzo also joined Stroman and trolled Manfred over the lockout.
