US Track Legend Allyson Felix Is Returning Back to Track for a Special Reason

How long can she keep going at this rate? Allyson Felix is a legend of athletics. Despite being 36, she continues to perform at the highest level, and the supermom returns. After the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, Felix ended her Olympic career and won 11 medals. She won the bronze medal for the 400-meters and took home the gold medal in the 4?400 m relay for Team USA.

After all the success in Tokyo, she returns to compete in the 300-meters competition on April 30th at Penn Relays. It is the first meet she will take part in after her successful Olympic Games. Felix will yet again hit the tracks, aiming to win more medals.

Competing at the USA Track and Field Outdoor Championships in June would be needed for her to qualify. Her dominance in the events is still up there with the best. She tied and broke Carl Lewis’ record for most U.S. Olympic track and field medals. Thus, the World Championships in Oregon will be an event to look forward to.
