The athlete from Oldham is selected to represent Great Britain at the Winter Olympics. As Beijing is the first city to host both the Summer and Winter Olympics, it is a highly anticipated event. At the last mega games in Beijing, a certain sprinter from Jamaica roused to the finishing line and won two gold medals thereafter. Bolt’s success in Beijing is pretty much remembered by sports fans all over the world. Crowley, too, stood in awe with the sprinter’s performance in the competition.
“I don’t remember a lot of 2008. But the thing that I remember the most was Usain Bolt because I know that’s when he came onto the scene and was just breaking records left, right and centre. So that’s the one thing that I really remember about Beijing. I guess I was quite young at the time in school, but I remember just watching all sports and Usain Bolt was the standout for me,” said Crowley.

The skeleton race competition was introduced back in 2002 and the country won every single gold medal from there. Heading to the 2022 Winter Olympics, Crowley would hope to carry on that tradition. To sum up, she loves what Bolt did back in 2008 and will certainly hope to replicate it in one way or another.
