However, faring through three Olympics and several world championships, Felix has naturally faced a lot of pitfalls. Allyson Felix took to her account on X and shared a new post with fans wherein she revealed the hardships she faced daily.

The tweet said,??Don’t be afraid to get outside of your comfort zone. That’s how I felt every single time I ran the 400m. It didn’t come naturally, it wasn’t easy, and it definitely scared me?but it was all about facing that challenge. I?m applying this same concept to life now.?

The tweet also carried a video showcasing Allyson Felix sprinting hard down the tracks in a 400m race. Gaining distance on her opponents from start to finish, Felix emerged victorious and looked into the camera with a smile. The video and the words Felix wrote make perfect sources of inspiration for both her fellow athletes and fans alike.

The pregnancy story that broke barriers and built bridges

Allyson Felix is known for her gentle demeanor and approachable personality. Hence, Felix didn?t remain silent about her post pregnancy struggles and how it impacted her.

In an interview with the New York Times, Felix said, ?I felt pressure to return to form as soon as possible after the birth of my daughter in November 2018, even though I ultimately had to undergo an emergency C-section at 32 weeks because of severe pre-eclampsia that threatened the lives of me and my baby.?

She further added,??Meanwhile, negotiations were not going well. Despite all my victories, Nike wanted to pay me 70 percent less than before. If that?s what they think I?m worth now, I accept that.??Taking Nike off the focus of things, Felix spoke out against all sporting apparel brands.

She said,??My disappointment is not just with Nike, but with how the sports apparel industry at large treats female athletes. This isn?t just about pregnancy. We may stand behind the brands we endorse, but we also need to hold them accountable when they are marketing us to appeal to the next generation of athletes and consumers.?
