An ardent supporter of English giants Manchester United, Usain Bolt’s love for football is unmatchable. In fact, fans often spot him attending games at Old Trafford. Hence, the club’s poor run of form these days has the fastest man alive, worried.

With the club being in tatters because of poor recruitment and tactical inconsistency, Bolt spoke about the need for a better coach and pointed out to Tottenham Hotspur’s newly appointed boss, Antonio Conte.

The Olympic legend opened up on his views about the club and how Conte would do a good job at United.

Usain Bolt wanted Antonio Conte

The legendary sprinter is currently attending the Dubai Expo 2020, where he spoke about his beloved club. He wanted Conte to manage United because of the reputation he had.

“I wanted [Antonio] Conte.”

“He is going to do so well at Spurs. He is going to get them organised. He has been at Chelsea?he won a title. He?s been at Inter Milan?he?s won a title. He?s been at Juve?he?s won a title,” said Bolt.

With Conte being a serial winner, these are good times for the North London club. Moreover, Bolt shed some light on Conte’s tactical nous and the structure he would keep in place at Spurs.

“Everywhere he goes, he structures the team so well. In January, he is probably going to get one or two players, then at the end of the season he is probably going to find proper players and bring them in,” said Bolt.

As Ole Gunnar Solskjaer remains at the wheel, the Norwegian coach has a lot to do to get his team back. The current performances of Manchester United irk the fans, especially with the quality of the squad available to them. Hence, Bolt too is concerned.

Can United come back from their slump?

With the international break on currently, Solskjaer has some much-needed time on his hands to figure out a solution. Certain performances of players remain sketchy, with inconsistency creeping into the squad. Moreover, many players are not performing at the highest level, often depending upon Cristiano Ronaldo to save the day on several occasions.

With Conte now out of contention, reports state Zinedine Zidane might be the next manager who will reinvigorate the club. Certainly, his arrival would help the club reach greater heights. Hence, Usain Bolt and United fans would hope the club moves in the right direction.
