Being a world-class athlete is not easy and Sha’Carri Richardson has proved it numerous times. What happened during the Tokyo Olympics?

Sha’Carri was amongst the top favorites in the 100m race event going into the Tokyo Olympics. However, the news of her disqualification was made public, after she tested positive for the use of ‘cannabis’. The sprinter agreed to all the charges even before her positive report could decide her participation in the Olympics.

She stated on ‘TODAY’ that she took marijuana to cope up with the death of her mother, who had passed away just a week before the Olympic trials. Sha’Carri was criticized heavily after being disqualified from the Tokyo Olympics and in her retaliation, the sprinter tweeted, ?I am human.??

The 21-year-old racer has shown amazing strength while coping with her mother’s demise and then the doping controversy. However, an incredible athlete like her belongs only on the track. She is a fighter and it would be great to watch her compete once again.
