Lindsey Vonn, the alpine skiing superstar, was unusually pleased with her 61st World Cup victory in Val d’lsere in 2014. She also recalled receiving a similar award in 2009.

Vonn hails from a family of competitive skiers. Her skiing abilities were so promising that her family was willing to go to any length to support her in scaling heights. Lindsey began skiing at the age of three and had advanced to doing international events by the age of nine. Vonn’s strength, aggressiveness, and passion for the sport earned her a World Cup record of 82 victories and four Olympic medals.

It was a pretty wild ride,” Vonn said after her World cup victory in Val d’Isere, France in 2014. As a prize, she received a calf in the downhill race. “I get a little baby cow, one month old,” she said overjoyed with the award and named it ‘Winnie’.

Vonn is well-known for taking each competition very seriously. Despite a few mistakes, she charged aggressively and raced without looking back. She cherished her memories of Val d’lsere and recalled her first victory there in 2009. She’d gotten a cow, which she named ‘Olympe.’

Lindsey adores animals as much as she adores skiing. Lindsey Vonn occasionally flaunts her pawmily of Lucy, Leo, and Bear Vonn on Instagram. They can be seen accompanying Vonn in every activity, including leisure time, nap time, travel, working out, and swimming, to name a few.

She proudly displayed her love of animals by having Lucy Vonn, her canine pal, co-host her reality show, ‘The Pack.’ Vonn’s love of animals is not limited to her four-legged companions. She clearly loves all forms of animal life, as is evident by her posts on wildlife photography and scuba diving. Riding a horse is thrilling for her. In addition, through her foundation, she has recently made efforts to rehabilitate horses. Thus, it is apparent why Vonn’s  face lights up when she is around her animal friends.
