Mikaela Shiffrin is in the limelight once again as the chill of winter sets in and excitement for another exhilarating ski season grows. The snow-capped peaks conqueror saw a record 88 total FIS Alpine Ski World Cup victories. And, five consecutive overall finishes. Shiffrin officially holds the G.O.A.T title, which is two more than Ingemar Stenmark and far-off women compatriot Lindsey Vonn(82). Preparing for yet another season walking in with her 2,206 WC points when asked about her specific goal, she straight up said, ?Actually, no.?. However, her fans know that she is set to reach new heights this season.

Shiffrin will be adding another season to the 13 distinct seasons on the World Cup circuit, which begins in a few days. Recently, during an off-season reset this week, her passion for dance gained particular interest.

While Shiffrin’s commitment to skiing remains paramount, her passion for dancing elevates Shiffrin’s skiing. The 28-year-old skier told Vail Daily, ?Everybody has a style of skiing; I think everybody also has a little bit of a style of dancing.” Shiffrin outlined how her love of dancing transfers into excellence on the slopes. The alpine skiing dominator added, “It’s like an expression of your body.”

“I tend to be pretty stiff with my arms when I?m skiing and when I?m dancing, it?s the same, so it?s things that sort of translate across just the way your body moves,? Mikaela concluded. She proposed a pretty novel idea?the marriage of dancing and skiing, which also checks the physical fitness box. The moves give her the perfect balance and unmatched elegance she possesses when skiing.

During her training camp in Chile, Shiffrin choreographed a dance video to ABBA’s “Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!” She shared her hobby with her tribe, including her boyfriend Aleksander Aamodt Kilde, and two other people. The pro skiers wore their respective American and Norwegian racing gear and Atomic ski boots shaking their bodies. While her higher altitude extracurricular activity can easily challenge normal people, Shiffrin spoke about the real anticipation of competitive events.

Shiffrin was asked if it “was difficult to shut down after the season and start with the basics again” after winning 14 races in 2023. “I’m not sure. Continuing, she said, “I think sometimes it’s nice to keep going.” “There is a reset and you get some distance from the sport, I just don’t really like to think about it,” Shiffrin added. Her goals?winning the World Cup and pursuing the highest honors?are as lofty as the heights she so gracefully descends.

She even pointed out areas of self-improvement, saying she wants to improve her “downhill performance a little.”. In addition to her ? super-G.” ?It?s just improving the skills that I think have fundamental, but can get better,? Shiffrin asserted. The 2023?24 World Cup is going to be in Soelden, Austria, and will fall on October 28 and 29.
