Mikaela Shiffrin, the GOAT in alpine skiing, cliched a multitude of victories in her illustrious career. Recently, she outshined the prodigal Ingemar Stenmark with her 88th World Cup win, also the 13th win of the season. Her five-time overall World Cup victory and two-time Olympic gold clinch strengthened her position in the nation’s heart. But her position remains unmoved in someone else’s heart, despite sharing the same sport.

At the 2023 ESPY Awards, Mikaela walked home with the Best Female Athlete. And her boyfriend couldn’t stop gushing. While complimenting her looks as ‘smashing’, Kilde ensures constant support for his star beau. Recently, at the Atomic media day, the duo made an appearance, and celebrated Mikaela’s success.

Aleksander Aamodt Kilde, the Norwegian alpine skiing legend, had lived the best season of his racing life in 2021/22. Having started dating Shiffrin around 2021, the Olympian brags about his fellow Olympian beau oftentimes. With the last leg of the 2023 World Cup season breathing on the shoulders, the couple attended the Atomic media day. Walking home with inspirational lessons, Kilde posted on his Instagram to show heartfelt gratitude.

He captioned the post as, “Hanging with legends (Hermann, @mikaelashiffrin etc.), learning from @protectourwinterseurope, and kicking off the season with our annual @atomicski media days this week. Let’s goooo Thanks, as always, to Atomic for the amazing support!
#weareskiing (soon ).”

Kilde’s Insta photo series featured several delectable pictures from the media day. Be it a closeup of both, or individual portraits, the photos assert that everybody enjoyed themselves. Moreover, a long skiing season lies ahead of the GOAT.

On October 28, the World Cup fireball will kick start her alpine skiing World Cup campaign. Scheduled to take place in Soelden, the traditional giant slalom opening will witness the queen in all her glory. On November 25–26, in Killington (Vermont), the only stop on the women’s calendar in the US, the five-time World Cup winner will compete in presence of the home crowd.

The World Cup Finals, scheduled to be held in Saalbach, Austria, for the first time over two weekends (March 16–17 and 22–24), will assert the curtain-draw moment of Shiffrin’s campaign. Considered as the most decorated alpine skier in history, Shiffrin’s all set to commence her 14th season, on a mission to write another history.

While both Kilde and Shiffrin boarded the World Cup flight, their relationship had already touched several skies.
