Both these entities are seen encouraging each other in every circumstance and this update of Swiatek’s incredible performance and getting back at the top is more than good news. Vonn who was heartbroken at her loss at the US Open, now is more than elated. She took to her Instagram account to congratulate the reigning WTA Champion.
She re-posted a post on her Instagram story, which was shared by the US Open. The post carries a picture of Swiatek kissing her trophy. Vonn captioned, “Congrats @iga.swiatek!! Number 1”. This must have been a very overwhelming moment for the tennis prodigy as she regained her title of number 1. She dominated the American player Jessica Pegula by 6-1 6-0 to nab the win of the WTA Finals in Cancun on 6th November 2023.

After giving a terrific performance and winning her title back, Iga Swiatek was more than happy. She shared a post on her Instagram with the caption “What Just happened??” She was definitely on Cloud 9 after this victory. She thanked her team for the trophy ceremony who had been there with her during the entire season.
She expressed, “We’ve had many ups and downs but this is for sure an up, and we’ll have many more if we keep working like that.” After this, she thanked her fans as well for staying put despite the weather conditions and cheering the loudest for the players.

After losing at the US Open and losing her position, Iga will now, after winning the championship, end the season with an 11 -match winning streak and is on the top for the second year in a row.
