Taking to her official Instagram handle Lindsey Vonn expressed her endearment for skiing with her long-time friend Roger Federer. Reflecting on how much significance it holds for her, Lindsey Vonn went on writing a lengthy post that started with a tone of excitement, “I finally got to ski with my friend Roger… yes, @rogerfederer.” But more excitement was still in store as another star from the tennis realm chimed in.
2018 Australian Open champion Caroline Wozniacki got into the picture. She wrote, “So cool!!!” The two share a cherished friendship that dates long back. In 2015, Vonn showed up at Wimbledon to watch Wozniacki. Vonn had pointed out about her on that occasion, “It’s nice to have a friend that understands the difficulties of being in the spotlight and training hard and competing.” rekindling that memory, Vonn replies this time to Wozniacki, “we have to go!!!”
Meanwhile, celebrity model Ashley Graham, who just enjoyed a skiing outing with Vonn, added, “What a fun week!” while Vonn was quick to point out, “the best week ever!!” However, the excitement quotient doubled as a former trooper joined in. Bear Grylls, a former British SAS trooper, could not contain the excitement as he wrote, “So lovely.” Vonn had to tend to it, given her past association with Grylls.
In 2016, Vonn took part in ‘Running Wild with Bear Grylls’, a survival skills reality television series. In the 5th episode of season 3 of the show, the two took a speedboat trip, then swam to shore and made their way along a rugged coastline; after traversing a deep chasm, they collected a dinner of sea urchins. Owing to the adventure-loving side of both, Vonn quickly made her intentions clear, “missed you out there. Let’s go next time!” Do we sense more news here? That is in the lap of the future. For now, anticipations run high as fans look back to Vonn’s outing with the tennis virtuoso.
