Mikaela Shiffrin has girded up for her entry on the slopes of Levi, Finland. On November 11, the second women’s event of the Audi FIS Alpine Ski World Cup 2023/24 will welcome the alpine skiing GOAT. Despite a wobbly start and giving her first win to Lara Gut-Behrami, the 28-year-old will return for her 100th career run.

After congratulating the Polish tennis player Iga Swiatek, it’s time for the Olympian to make a strong comeback. Having smashed Ingemar Stenmark’s 85th World Cup win, Shiffrin stands with 88 currently. It’s the 58th edition of the Alpine Skiing World Cup and the event has in store some stellar Gen-Z displays this year. Having said so, another post of Shiffrin turned heads today.

The 28-year-old Colorado-born took to her Instagram account to post a fierce photo series. Captioned the post as, “Yes, this is exactly how I prepare for ski races. #eleganceisanattitude”. As per the caption, the pictures are old but gold. Carefully picked from her historical photo album, every single picture radiates tigerish energy.

The first black and white snap featured an atomic ski, while Shiffrin let her hair down on one side and looked away firmly. In the next picture, the photographer captured her while she tucked her hair behind her ear. Looking away with ski goggles on the forehead, she looked nothing short of stunning.

Moreover, the next is a wider version of the second photo, where she is showing off her jacket with a strong look. The fourth one featured her with her beloved skis placed on the shoulder. When she wrote ‘elegance’ in the caption, she may have mindfully done it. When the athlete is cognizant of the finesse she bears, these strong statements are not unlikely.

The queen of slopes is stepping feet on the Killington slopes later this month. Having said so, the Killington Resort flung opened its winter gates for the 65th time, on a mission to bless its landscape with magical displays.

Killington’s X post read, “Cheers to a great Day One! Tomorrow we open for at 9:00 a.m. for all to enjoy, and then repeat, 7 days a week.”

To this, Shiffrin penned, “Love to see this!! Way to go, @KillingtonMtn…can’t wait to see you in a few weeks!” As the giant slalom queen buckles up to defend her GS title on November 25, Killington will be the witness. But to the Olympian, it’s like being back instead of being at competing.
