During its making, the athlete looked back on the most memorable present she gifted her father.
Pondering about it for a while, Vonn replied, “I think the most memorable thing I got him… Me and my sisters actually wrote the three best lessons my dad ever taught me. And we framed it and he seemed to like it. It’s pretty sentimental.”
However, Vonn did not always share a close bond with her father, Alan Kildow. Their relationship experienced a fair share of challenges over the years. Their relationship struggled to the point where the two were not on speaking terms.
Previously, the three-time Olympic medalist opened up regarding her strained relationship with Kildow. Vonn mentioned that their relationship suffered partly due to her father’s competitive nature.
