For Lindsey Vonn, the first Valentine’s day without her mother was not easy. In August 2022, Linda Krohn passed away battling the neurological disease ALS that affected motor neurons. Getting nostalgic, Vonn shared priceless memories with her mother in a recent Instagram post.

Sharing a heartwarming picture of hugging her mom, Vonn wished her fans “Happy Valentine’s Day”. With this, the alpine skiing champion shared images of the best memories with her family when her mother was alive. The skiing champion also dedicated successfully skiing downhill at ‘The Streif’ to her mother in another Instagram post. 

Lindsey Vonn shares priceless moments with her mother on Valentine’s Day 2023

On 15th February 2023, in an Instagram post, Vonn shared an image where dressed in a red top and grey pants. She embraced her mother. The smile on both their faces indicates their strong bond. Vonn captioned this Instagram post, “More love than I could ever ask for.” To this sentence, she added an emoji of a heart and wrote, You always.” These words hint how Vonn will never forget her mother and her support. 

 

With this image, Vonn also posted a photo of her entire family in an outdoor setting around the trees. This picture included her mother and also her grandmother, who sadly expired. Not only this, but Vonn also shared another memorable image where Vonn wore a white top, and her mother had donned a black top. Their broad smiles in this picture are proof of their strong relationship.

The alpine skiing legend also posted an image with her dog Lucy where she and Lucy were wearing blue jerseys with their names. Vonn also shared another photo depicting her and her pet dog looking out of the car together. 


Earlier, in January 2023, Vonn shared an Instagram post skiing downhill on ‘The Streif’ at night. The Streif is one of the most difficult slopes for downhill skiing in Austria. Vonn captioned this post as “Dedicated to my Mom; my guarding Angel watching over me. I know she would have been proud.” These words indicate how Vonn feels about her mother’s presence, even after her death. Post her mother’s tragic demise, Vonn opened up about her mother’s support and struggle with the disease 

Vonn holds nothing back about her bond with her mother

Talking about how her mother always supported her, Vonn spoke about how she looked up to her mother. Further, she revealed how, due to her disease ALS, her mother could unfortunately not attend all her daughter’s skiing events. 

Continuing, Vonn told how her mother would then watch the events on the television skiing. Further, the alpine skiing legend related how her mother always cheered for her.
