Weather plays such a crucial role in skiing, alpine skiing in particular. A little less snow, or a little more, makes it impossible to conduct events. As the Audi FIS Alpine Ski World Cup 2023/24 is in its full flow, Europe’s harsh winter weather has again spoiled a big event. This time, the men’s second World Cup downhill race has taken a hit.
Although weather can’t be controlled, there are preventive measures like forecasts that can be used to schedule the skiing events accordingly. Heavy snowfall and wind have resulted in the second World Cup Men’s Downhill race getting canceled. Given the fact that it has happened for the second year in a row, fans are outraged, demanding a venue change.
