In a heartening display of sportsmanship and camaraderie, skiing legend Lindsey Vonn extended warm wishes to Jacqueline Wiles because of her triumphant return after battling an injury to her broken left leg and toe. “Congrats Jackie!! Back on the podium, a long road with a ton of hard work,” Vonn posted on her Instagram story, encapsulating the sentiments of the skiing community. The accompanying image Vonn showcased two dates. One is January 20, 2018, when Wiles took 3rd place in downhill. The other one is January 27, this year when she regained her throne, and took it even higher by grabbing the second place.

Also, as skiers, Vonn and Wiles have carved their path to prominence, fueled by a shared determination and deep admiration for this port. By cherishing these memories, Von even posted, “seems like it was yesterday when we were on the podium together.” She posted a group picture on her story, and she congratulated Wiles. Wiles underwent two surgeries during the 2020–21 season, one for a broken clavicle sustained in a race crash and another for a knee injury before the world championships downhill. for injuries, she did not race in the 2022-23 season. Despite all these hurdles, she walked away with a 2nd place finish in the downhill event recently, marking her best World Cup finish in six years.
