The hazy build-up to the Alpine Skiing World Cup 2023?2024 exudes mystery and excitement. And all eyes are focused on Marco Odermatt’s remarkable abilities. In the misty atmosphere stands out Otterman, his presence a sign of attention and commitment. Odermatt came dangerously close to winning a third straight race in S?lden, but his solid showing puts him in the running to tie the record held by the great Ted Ligety.

Following the leading pair, Alexis Pinturault, a French skier, took third place with a 0.46-second deficit, while Henrik Kristoffersen, a Norwegian competitor, took fourth place with a 0.59-second deficit. Gino Caviezel of Swiss-Ski took fifth place, 0.95 seconds behind the lead held by Marco Schwarz. Some, like Justin Murisier, who finished in 22nd place and trailed by 2.65 seconds, and Thomas Tumler, who finished in fourteenth place with a 1.86-second deficit, encountered difficult circumstances despite the intense competition.

To further highlight the unpredictable nature of the sport, Lo?c Meillard was also unlucky enough to be eliminated at the beginning of the race. Still, all signs pointed to a pause in the exciting season given the gruesome weather conditions.
