With the bright sun beaming over the mountains, the skiing season is almost over in the California mountains. Mammoth Mountain located within the town of Mammoth Lakes is one of the largest ski areas in California. This famous mountain which had the most snow recorded till now in the 2023 season, has now begun to melt down. The mountain resort will officially be closed by this week due to these reasons.

However, before it’s closing till the next winter season, the G.O.A.T. of skiing Mikaela Shiffrin, visited Mammoth Mountain one last time. The athlete who has been craving to go back to the mountains lately, also shared a message for the California mountain on social media.

Mikaela Shiffrin shares a message for Mammoth Mountain

Mikaela Shiffrin has started her summer training for the upcoming World Cup to be held in October. The athlete just finished a week of training in the California mountains three months prior to the season. On August 2, the goat of skiing also posted a few snaps from the week with a message for Mammoth Mountain “We had such a productive camp in Mammoth Mountain this past week” Further while talking about the weather conditions, the athlete stated, “It was warm and not the easiest condition”.

But according to the fourteen-time Olympian, her coaching team and the Mammoth staff helped her make the training week productive, irrespective of the conditions. Shiffrin ended her caption by showing shock over skiing in California in late July or early August. As the mountains are still covered in snow despite the state being in the peak of the summer season.

The skier shared a bunch of photos from her productive week. In the photos, the athlete was seen sliding through the powder and leaving her mark on the mountains. The athlete also shared a picture of her with her top-tier coaching squad, which also includes her mother, Eileen Shiffrin. This highly anticipated post came only a week after Mikaela Shiffrin posted about going back to the mountains while keeping the location hidden, leaving fans curious.

Mikaela Shiffrin officially had finally updated her fans on the location after posting pictures of skiing on Mammoth Mountain. As on July 27, the athlete posted a picture of herself in a gym outfit with the caption, “I’ve been spending a lot of time in the gym, but I’m SO happy to be back on the snow again now!! Anyone else craving winter?” Lately, Mikaela Shiffrin has been posting many pictures of her ripping it up at the gym. The athlete has posted videos of herself running and doing a warm-up dance with Norwegian skier Aleksander Kilde on Instagram. And after attaining her best shape, the athlete announced she was going back to skiing.

Shiffrin, who despite the warm conditions is working her magic on the California mountains, proves that she is a force to be reckoned with. Hopefully, with the same zeal, the athlete will be seen participating in the World Cup in October.
