Mikaela Shiffrin has been enjoying the 2023 season, inching closer to her goal of 100 World Cup wins. She clinched her 90th World Cup victory and 55th in Salom on Nov. 26 in Killington, Vermont, and has been savoring the victory moment in much-needed relaxation mode.
Yet, amid this leisure time, a remark surfaced that caught the alpine skiing legends’ attention. And in a surprising twist, she tactfully shut down this “Toilet Seat” comment with a twist.

Mikaela Shiffrin shuts down “Toilet Seat” comment
Queen of the Snowy Slopes, Mikaela Shiffrin, took to Instagram stories after a comment on one of her posts piqued her interest. In the shared image, she posted a picture of herself smiling with a white circle-like object framing her face. Unaware of what the object around her face was, fans came up with amusing interpretations of it. But the winningest Alpine skier cleared all queries in a hilarious shut-down, saying, “Hahaha, noooo people, it’s not a “toilet seat”…” But what exactly was the mysterious object?

In a subsequent story, she shared a picture of herself lying on the couch with an arrow pointing to a table where a board game was open. She wrote, revealing what the object was saying: “It’s a tic-tac-toe tile” with a melting face and cringe face emoji. So how did all this turn of events even begin?
How the turn of events occurred
Days after clinching her 90th World Cup victory at the 2023/2024 Alpine Skiing World Cup in Killington, Vermont, Mikaela Shiffrin shared her goals for relaxation. She posted a three-image carousel post on Instagram.

The first picture was of her on the couch with the board game open; the second captured a selfie from a higher angle in her comfortable position; and the third was the image that had been mistakenly thought to be taken over a “Toilet Seat.” She wrote in the post’s caption, “Recovery day goal: spend as much time horizontal as possible”.

This post comes days before her upcoming race at Tremblant (Canada) for the Giant Slalom (2x) on December 2–3, and fans await excitedly for the legend to showcase her prowess again.
