Boyfriend Aleksander Kilde is still on his way to recovery after his Downhill setback, and now his beau is unfortunately walking the same steps.
According to her recent post, she said, “So happy to be back in @cortinaskiworldcup because I love it here”. She didn’t wish for her dreams to turn into reality, but none can fight the inevitable. Mikaela Shiffrin’s post-crash attitude reflects athleticism

Before the fans could be more impatient, the US Ski Team took to their Instagram to post, @mikaelashiffrin is a DNF but sent a quick message to her teammates after her crash”. Her message read, “It’s all ok ladies, surface is money, you got this!” Bearing a fear of speed events in her heart, Shiffrin had already prophesied this fall. She was helped off the course and taken to the nearest Cortina hospital. According to recent reports, she may have suffered a left leg injury. The team behind Shiffrin’s success stories said, “Initial analysis shows the ACL and PCL seem intact”, but more information is upcoming.
Immediately after slamming into the net, she bounced back with a fall in the soft snow. Unfortunately, the 28-year-old Olympian’s 96 World Cup win is still on hold, as she currently stands with 95 WC wins and 150 podiums. Having said so, amid the chaos surrounding her limping to the clinic, history has been made on the Cortina slopes. But Mikaela Shiffrin is not a part of it, sadly.

In recent news, the Audi FIS Ski World Cup’s Instagram post has some celebratory notes. The caption says, “History in Cortina! First time since 2️⃣0️⃣1️⃣8️⃣ with 5️⃣ skiers on the podium and first time ever in a Women’s WC Downhill!”
