“Well…this season is a lot to recap…I’m trying to find words and just failing miserably. For now, the most important thing I want to say is-thank you. Thx to everyone who has shown so much support throughout the ups and downs.

“And especially thank you to this team for all of the work they do every day to make these dreams possible to achieve,” said Shiffrin.

Shiffrin dominates in the end

The downhill competition saw her claiming a surprising victory and then she followed it up with a second-place finish in the super-G event. This victory comes after her three consecutive title victories from 2017 to 2019.

With Annemarie Moser-Pröll in front of her with six, Shiffrin is still 27 and hungry for more success. But undoubtedly, even with all her achievements, at the end of her career, she will go down as the greatest skier of all time.

Hence, her legacy is unmatched, and even if she had an Olympic Games to forget, Shiffrin showed the world why she is the greatest after all. The next obvious question would be whether she can win her fifth World Cup next season and move forward. But surely, the worry can wait; for now, it’s time to relax and rejuvenate, looking back at what has been a whirlwind of a season.
