She has solidified her position at the top of the World Cup final standings and hopes to close it out, in the next event. Hence, this would be her fourth title. After having an Olympics to forget, Shiffrin dominated the downhill event from start to finish.

Her rival Petra Vlhova is in the form of her life after winning the Olympic gold medal. In this race, she finished 16th, dampening her hopes of winning her second World Cup title. Thus, the next race will be crucial for both of them.
