One of the prominent figures in the alpine skiing community, Lindsey Vonn, is breaking the silence on her imperfections. Famous for winning four World Cup Overall titles, the 2019 retired athlete has consistently been an active figure among sports personalities. Recently, she appeared on NBA Hall of Famer Dwyane Wade’s podcast, “The Why with Dwyane Wade,” sharing a candid conversation on her post-retirement life.
The program reflects Wade’s attempt to have an open discussion with famous athletes and celebs giving fans a unique window into the real lives of their sports idols. In the latest video, the 39-year-old disclosed that she wishes to change her outspoken personality which is much admired by her fans.
Lindsey Vonn goes candid about her honest side

Vonn addressed the much-asked question “How are you feeling?” that many famous personalities frequently struggle with, in a snippet video shared on Instagram by @thewypodcast. She explained, “There are definitely things that I wanna just keep to myself and my family. Like, I don’t need to share everything on social media. Like, a little filter would be nice sometimes but I am not great at that.”
She continued, “I don’t like hiding. I am who I am and I can’t change that.” The Miami Heat icon had previously expressed his natural affinity for those who have achieved success in their fields. And being no stranger to injuring, Vonn’s “coming back from tearing every part,” overcoming two operations puts her in a similar league as Wage.
Vonn had many injuries in her career, however, in 2019 she ruptured her lateral collateral ligament (LCL), and had persistent knee issues, which ultimately forced her professional skiing career to end. Looking back on her setbacks and recovery Vonn said, “I’ve been bruised and broken but I’ve always come out the other side a better person,” and all the while she kept up with life, highlighting her strategies in Wage’s: “Premium Plus With Lindsey Vonn” podcast.

Brand deals income explained
Outside of the slopes, the ski star has been accumulating fortune via long-lasting endorsement deals. She discussed brand collaborations with Dwyane, stating emphatically that she, doesn’t do any brand deals that she doesn’t believe in or products she doesn’t use. Vonn is dedicated to honesty in all facets of her life, which is shown in her picky approach to sponsorships resulting in partnerships that dates back to when she was 16.

Her impact goes beyond the financial success too, as Sports Illustrated named her to its “Fashionable 50” list several times. In addition, her pairing with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s Project Rock highlighted her creative contributions to the Under Armour line.
