Woods held the No. 1 spot for 683 weeks and is a living legend of the game. But an incident took place which Woods might not be proud of. Woods was charged with driving under the influence after police found him asleep at the wheel of his Mercedes-Benz at 2 a.m. on May 29, 2017.
It was later discovered that his prescription medications were to blame. On a later date, Woods tweeted, “I will continue to tackle this going forward with my doctors, family and friends. I am so very thankful for all of the support I’ve received.”
Lindsey Vonn, in a recent interview, opened up about insomnia and said that it had started during her first big knee injury. She highlighted how important sleep is particularly for athletes. She added, “I was lying in bed after surgery in a lot of pain and trying to sleep, and I couldn’t. The anxiety behind it just got me down this really bad path of repetitively not sleeping.”.
Vonn also said that it took several treatments before arriving at the one that worked for her.
