In a recent teaser captioned “Coming #MovingRightAlong, Season 2, Ep. 2,” Shiffrin delves into the theme of pressure, stating, “Pressure can make things feel impossible. Most things are never truly impossible… it’s really how you respond to that, that matters,” accompanied by @adidasterrex. However, in the video itself, Shiffrin articulates, “It’s really how you respond to that that matters. You just have to say to yourself, you can do this.”

Shiffrin encounters a rare setback
In the Val d’Isere super-G, Federica Brignone was in excellent form as she charged her way to victory and also closed a sizeable gap between herself and first-place Mikaela Shiffrin in the World Cup standings. “I tried always to push, always to be ahead, and never be happy with my speed but wanting more. So that was my goal today and I was really aggressive but I let my skis go,” Federica said. With this win, Brignone now trails Shiffrin by 63 points in the overall standings, with Lara Gut closely trailing in third place with 429 points. “I’m free, I’m skiing good, I’m having fun and I’m motivated to try to ski faster, and I think that’s the best thing for the beginning of the season,” Shiffrin said. The forthcoming Courchevel night slalom promises to intensify the competition in the women’s World Cup.
