Lindsey Vonn, who once made winning strides down the slopes, has a penchant for another really acclaimed sport – F1. She holds a special place for everything speedy and face paced in her heart. Having said that, she made a highly awaited appearance in the Grand Prix Race in Miami. Her fascination with F1 started early, and it showed prominently when she drove in a premium ring once. But the recent win of Red Bull left her in a bitter-sweet condition.

Vonn has a close-knit relationship with Lewis Hamilton, a member of Mercedes. But the only concern is, the former alpine skier’s inclination towards Red Bull Racing can’t be ignored as well. So, as the Olympian graced the spectators’ box alongside other celebrities like Vin Diesel, she couldn’t choose sides. But she celebrated the recent win of the deserving, keeping aside her priorities.

In 2010, when Red Bull was on a mission to expand its athletic realm, the US star skier received a warm welcome from the team. So, undoubtedly, she would go extra miles for her partner brand. According to her Instagram post, the caption reads, “Congrats on the double podium @redbull.” Securing the first position, Belgian-Dutch driver Max Emilian Verstappen proved his individual mark. In addition, Red Bull’s another podium finish went to Mexican racing driver Sergio Michel “Checo” P?rez Mendoza.

One of the best female athlete worldwide, Vonn had mindfully considered a career shift. To sum up, she lives for speed. The 39-year-old had once said, ?I drove in Spielberg in Austria on a Formula 1 track.” She further added, ?Another time, on the autobahn we went 130 (mph). I was with (Germany?s three-time alpine skiing Olympic champion) Maria Hofl-Reisch driving her (Audi) R8.”

The reason why she stepped down from racing is that the sport required commitment and is restrictive. Since F1 restricts anyone getting pregnant, she said, ??I don?t know if I really want to do that?. Red Bull, her long-time partner, had advised to try NASCAR stock car racing in America. Though the alpine skiing Olympian shares a beautiful camaraderie with Hamilton, her insecurity surfaced once.

In the same vein, another legendary athlete, Neymar da Silva Santos J?nior had spoken about similar feelings. Since he is a Red Bull sponsored athlete as well, his love for the opponent team’s racer Hamilton had raised confusion.
