As the summer draws closer, Summit County in Colorado was disheartened by the news of the first grave skiing accident of this season. An inbound skier, Ryan Peerenboom was pronounced dead at a first-aid clinic after he crashed with a tree mid-way downhill at the Breckenridge Ski Resort. The incident took place on January 21st.
The news was brought to fans by means of a Facebook update by OutThere Colorado. Therefore, fans took to the comments section to offer their condolences to the late skier. Let’s take a look at some of their reactions.

As the social media update revealed, Peerenboom, a Seoul-native, was skiing on the resort’s Peak 8, pacing medially, when he crashed head-on with a tree and died on the spot that afternoon, 2 months ago. The declaration was given by the Summit County Coroner’s Office. Additionally, the office documents recorded the death as an accident caused by “blunt force trauma.”
Reportedly, the 34-year-old was from Green Bay, Wisconsin. Later on, he moved to Boulder and had been residing there for the past year. Notably, the officials disclosed that this season recalled no other fatal incidents as this. Adding a caption to the post, it read, “His primary mission in life was to brighten the day of anyone who was fortunate enough to be in his company.”
Another report pointed out that he was employed by the multinational organization, Deloitte. It also indicated towards an obituary dedicated to him. “the type of man who followed his convictions wholeheartedly,” it read, adding that he lived every occasion to its full extent.

Responding to the Facebook post, the fans were compassionate and prayed for his family and dear ones in their difficult times. One fan wrote, “Died doing what he loved no doubt.” Whereas another fan expressed sorrow and prayed for the family’s solace. “Prayers for comfort to all families,” it read.
Another reaction from a netizen was from the skier’s former residence state, Wisconsin. “How sad. Sending love from Wisconsin,” the comment implied. However, a rather insensible note from a netizen read, “Maybe he was trying to make the tree happy,” which was further reprimanded by another fan, demarcating it as immature.
