Mikaela Shiffrin’s Instagram stories had fans swooning yet again on November 1, as she showed her ever-wholesome, ever-classy self. She reposted a story from a fan, Mia Whalley, who shared a heartwarming yet slightly chaotic tale about her daughter’s signed postcard from Mikaela. According to Mia, her 11-year-old was thrilled to have received the keepsake, only for a cheeky boy to attempt to snag it right out of her hands. The tussle left the precious postcard torn, much to the young girl’s dismay. Mia captioned the story with humor, writing, “When your 11-year-old daughter gets a signed postcard, but a boy tried to snag it from ya!”

Typically, Mikaela, she was able to make the moment turn into something positive and positive interaction. Reposting Mia’s story, she responded with a heartwarming gesture that melted hearts: “DM me your address, I’ll send her another one!” These are some of the things that people get to see and feel about why Mikaela Shiffrin is not only a skiing legend but a heartwinner as well. The fan even bowed to Mikaela, and even noted the ski star’s bittersweet near-miss of Mikaela’s possible 100th World Cup win.

This is not the first time Mikaela Shiffrin is seen showering love on a young fan. On November 18, after dominating her first World Cup event of the season with a clean sweep in Levi, the American skier had one special fan cheering for her at home. While Mikaela was showing off her skills on the Finnish slopes, a young fan named Paula was cheering her on.

The adorable fan’s Instagram story read, “Paula cheering up her biggest idol, Mikaela Shiffrin, at the Levi World Cup.” The story warmed the heart of Mikaela and she reposted the story; she replied to her young fan with three teary-eyed emojis. And guess what? Even with her injury, Mikaela has made sure to reassure her fans!!

Miki reassures fans!

Yep, you heard it right! Despite her fall, Mikaela Shiffrin went out of her way to make sure her fans knew this. It was hard to look at the scene after she fell, but Mikaela was not willing to let this thing defeat her. She immediately recorded a video in her bed to make sure her followers were in the loop. “I’m so sorry to scare everybody, and it looks like all scans so far are clear,” she said with a lot of composure. “Thank you for the support and concern, and congratulations to the winners and to my teammates for incredible performances.”

In the video, she still expressed the pain, saying, “I just can’t move. I have a pretty good abrasion, and something stabbed me under my fingers. So, I just can’t move.” When medics were treating her, putting gel on her left hip, it was apparent that she would not be able to complete the race. Sara Hector won the game, but this was not how fans expected it to end.

So it is actually quite unusual for her; this is only the second time that since January 2018, Mikaela has not finished the Giant Slalom of the World Cup ski races. There will be no chance to see her again on the Mont Tremblant race next week, as it has been rescheduled now. But if there is someone who could tell a thing or two about coming back, it’s Mikaela Shiffrin!
