After 10 Surgeries Former-Ski Legend Lindsey Vonn Jets off to a New Adventure

Alpine skiing queen, Lindsey Vonn holds a strong penchant for chasing thrill and adrenaline rush. Whether it is fast-moving Formula 1 cars, or trouncing big barrels on a surfing spree, Vonn has covered it all. Along similar lines, even after going through knee surgery, the alpine skier recently went for another adventurous spree and took all the brownie points. 

The champion ski racer has had a series of knee operations in her retirement, since her 2019 surgery to repair her torn LCL. But that didn’t stop Vonn from pursuing the adventures that requires uphill battle. Either it is driving F1 cars or padding on the big waves, Vonn knows how to perform everything with absolute finesse. Nevertheless, this time, the alpine skiing queen astounded her fans by pulling off the curtains from her jet skiing prowess, just a few days after her LCL surgery.  Vonn revealed that she endured this injury during her alpine skiing career, and she was dealing with it for a long time. On July 2023, the athlete underwent 10 surgeries and said, “This surgery is hopefully a big step to help me long term.” Vonn is recovering very quickly but is still on rest. Despite her recovery time on bed rest, she set out on a new thrill in water which certainly has amused her fans. 

Lindsey Vonn is on a new adventure 

A few days ago, the world champion Lindsey Vonn posted her picture from Lake Powell, standing on a boat with a knee band. She was updating her fans about her surgery and said her doctors approved her activities. The next day, on 11th August, Vonn shared a video on Instagram showcasing her Jet ski skills despite her surgery. She said, “First time to Lake Powell and it was stunning! Had so much fun exploring and seeing the beautiful canyons and red rocks. Thankful for this experience.” 

She was flaunting her skills in jet skiing in the reel she shared on her Instagram handle with the bbno$ and Rich Brian’s song ‘edamame’ in the background. Her fans were thrilled to see her enjoying the water and handling the jet like a pro. Anyone could tell by seeing that she was relishing her best time riding between the giant rocks with her friends. This was not the first time when the athlete has flaunted her skills. There were a few other times when she was seen trying her hand at other sports.

Lindsey Vonn is an alpine skier, but she is also a very well-known F1 driver. She is a staunch driver and has driven cars in some elite rings of the world. Just like her control of skiing gear, she also handles the steering wheel like a pro. Other than fast moving cars, she also enjoys pursuing her love for tennis and can often be seen paddling on barrels in turquoise waters.
