Talking to

CNBC, Shiffrin revealed, “My strategy for the money I’ve earned is to save and invest.” Continuing, she added, “I’m not necessarily playing the market on a daily basis, but I come from a Warren Buffet strategy.”

Elaborating further, she indicated how she invested in diverse portfolios instead of putting all her eggs in one basket. She also implied that while investing on the basis of recent trends, she also tries to save an amount of money as well.

The alpine skier spoke about how she had reduced her spending recently as she wished to buy a boat. She explained that since she stayed in Miami a lot, buying a boat would lead to an enjoyable experience. Shiffrin stated,

“I think if I had my own boat, I would go and spearfish a lot more.”

Further, she expressed how her dogs are fond of the water, recounting how she would give them balls to catch in the water. Shiffrin also told how she had taken a boat from her friend to travel and see the islands. This evidently increased her desire to purchase a boat in the future.
