In this, after 6 years of bashing Nike for lack of support during her pregnancy, she also revealed the real reason for breaking it off with the former sponsorship brand Nike and how this helped her create one of the most beautiful things of her life, her brand, Saysh.

The US sprinter Allyson Felix recently graced the broadcast show, ‘The Daily Show’, with her presence. She shared an aura of inspiration on the show as she spoke about how she handled the trials and tribulations in her career. From motherhood to struggles as an athlete, to starting her own brand, she shared everything. However, one difficult phase that turned multiple heads was the spat she had with one of the biggest brands, Nike.

Leslie Jones, the host of the show and the track star, discussed the difficulties women have to face once they enter motherhood. Be it an athlete or a mother working in any other area, the situations are the same and Felix herself has experienced this bitter truth. She expressed that her fight with Nike was one of the main reasons that motivated her to start her own brand. She stated, “I parted ways with Nike over that fight for maternal protections”.

After Felix became a mother, the giant brand, and her former sponsor, Nike wanted to pay her 70% less. This was one of the worst experiences faced by the Olympian. However, she took this lack of support as a motivation to create a wonder.

Allyson Felix, apart from her stellar skills at the track, is also known for her strong opinions on motherhood. After her retirement, she tried her best to implement all the possibilities she could to make things easy for women. She made her brand completely women-oriented and spoke proudly about it on The Daily Show.

After she parted ways with Nike, she was in search of another footwear sponsor but failed to find one. Following this, she joined hands with her brother and did this herself. She started the brand intending to make shoes she could wear in the Olympics, but eventually, she realized shoes hadn’t been made for women.
