The sports world is devastated after Monday’s sudden demise of the legendary rally driver, Ken Block. The 55-year-old lost his life in a snowmobile accident in Utah. Many athletes from the sports world mourned the loss of the racing legend. Tommy Lee, Adam Cianciarulo, Larry Chen, and many others immediately jumped to Ken’s last Instagram post to pay tribute to him.

Co-founder of DC Shoes and Hoonigan, Ken Block was known for revolutionizing action sports marketing and motorsports filmmaking. Being such an influential personality, Ken Block’s demise has reached every athlete.

The sports world pays its tribute to Ken Block in his last post

Ken Block’s demise came as shocking news for the entire sports world. The 55-year-old found vehicles to be a great source of entertainment. In his last Instagram post, the pro rally driver announced the release of his daughter’s 85 Audi Ur Quattro video. Many people from the sports world jumped to Ken’s last post to pay tribute to him:

Automotive photographer Larry Chen thanked Ken for the things he did for his family. He wrote, “I‘m gonna miss you bud. Thank you for everything you have done for me and my family. Not to mention singlehandedly push car culture to new heights.”

Moreover, musician Tommy Lee was in complete disbelief at Ken’s demise, “No!!!! Just no!!! this is not happening! Faaaaaaaaaak!!!!!”

Motocross racer Adam Cianciarulo showed respect for his idol by commenting, “Such a huge loss. Ken was a truly bright light: huge heart, huge fire inside, and a visionary in every way. My deepest condolences and prayers to his family and close friends. And may he inspire us all to be better people.”

Khyzl Saleem, a vehicle artist also mourned the tragic loss,”Beyond devastated by this absolutely tragic news. You were a constant & consistent inspiration to myself and so many others. I’m truly grateful to have worked with you at least once in this lifetime. Rest in Peace Ken, my sincerest condolences to all his loved ones.”

Moreover, the motorbike stunt racer also paid tribute to Ken. He wrote, “RIP legendary man, husband father!! You will be missed dearly 💔 🙏”

Ken Block’s love for sports

Ken Block competed in several action sports, like motocross, snowboarding, and skateboarding. Ken won two bronze medals during the 2006 and 2008 X Games. He was highly famous for performing various stunts in rally cars.

Recently, Ken collaborated with Audi and drove its all-electric S1 Hoonitro in Las Vegas. He also drove rally cars of Subaru Impreza, Ford Fiesta, and Ford Mustang.
