BYU athlete Kenneth Rooks, participated in the USA outdoor and field track championship. In the middle of the race, one of the steeplechases was not a good jump for him and he fumbled and fell on the ground. Rocks were in the middle when he fell down and he was in the last position after that, however, the race was 3000m long so there was some wiggle room to make adjustments.

The 23-year-old, against all odds, went up, kept going and with this non-quitting attitude, he won the race recovering from the last position. It was a jaw-dropping moment for the audience who witnessed this unbelievable moment. From time to time, steeplechase has always presented a non-quitting mentality. Lamecha Girma, one of the legends of the 3000m steeplechase, was also very persistent and never gave up.
