Lindsey Vonn has won several accolades in her 17-year-long career. Lindsey won four World Cup overall championships and is the second woman to achieve this feat in the sport’s history. She had her debut in the sport when she was just sixteen years old. Lindsey is one of the most influential female athletes in the world.

Lindsey Vonn first started skiing when her father put skis on her at the age of two and a half. She developed an interest in the sport from a very young age. The World Champion has never looked back since. Lindsey described all such incidents in her book Rise: My Story. She published her book in January 2022.

Lindsey Vonn becomes an inspiration

After Lindsey‘s retirement, she took part in many philanthropic events. Throughout her career, she has inspired a generation. In 2014, Lindsey and Gisele Bundchen launched the ‘I will what I want campaign’. The campaign included a series of advisements for Under Armour. Both of them interviewed with ABC news to discuss and promote the launch of their new campaign.

Lindsey and Giselle shared their thoughts during the interview. Gisele shared how she had just learned to ski the previous year. Describing an incident when she went skiing with children, she said, “My kids were flying by me, and I was like wait.” Tom Brady‘s supermodel wife also shared how she admired Lindsey Vonn’s heroic skills in skiing. Adding on that, she said, “I just think about what she does. I’m like no way I would go down the mountain.”

Gisele shared how she admired Lindsey for her hard work and the mental toughness she holds. Lindsey shared her thoughts about how she would not be able to take up Giselle’s job. “No way I am jumping in high heels,” she said, admitting how tough it is to be a model. They both respected each other’s hard work and acknowledged the struggles they had undergone to be the best in their careers.

What is the ‘I will what I want campaign?

Lindsey Vonn and Gisele Bundchen launched a campaign called ‘I will what I want ‘ in collaboration with Under Armour. Describing the reason for being a part of the campaign, Gisele said that she loved the spirit of the brand and the motive behind the campaign. “It’s really about not listening to the outside voice and finding your strength and knowing what you want to be”, she said, describing the message behind the new project.

Lindsey’s advertisement shows how she got back in form after getting injured. It focuses on the comeback after a setback. It sends out a message that ‘ The comeback is greater than the setback.” The campaign motivates people to never give up and brings hope that they can overcome any adversity that comes in between their goals.
