Earlier the criteria to qualify as a pro were tougher than what it is for bodybuilders in the current times. This, in turn, has led the athletes to develop a false sense of accomplishment.

IFBB Pro cards were distributed significantly less frequently during Phil Heath’s peak. Professional bodybuilding has grown considerably as a sport over the last decade, owing largely to the internet and social media. A larger sport, on the other hand, suggests more pro card opportunities. A stronger internet presence opens up additional prospects for success. Recently, Frank Sepe and Phil Heath appeared on The Mike O’Hearn Show. Herein, the legends of the fitness world discuss how the increase in the number of IFBB Pro cards has instilled a peculiar sense of accomplishment in bodybuilders who, in reality, haven’t achieved much in the core sport.

Sharing his opinion on the matter, Fitness author Frank Sepe said, “To be honest, let’s call it the way it is…the generation, the majority of it that I have seen, a self-entitled and delusional.” He further added that nowadays bodybuilders expect a pro card after competing in just two contests.

Additionally, 7x Mr. Olympia Phil Heath too shared his opinion on the matter. He said, “People overall just being kind of soft. You’ve been able to see that quite a bit. And what I mean by soft is entitled. Is Phil Heath ready to make a comeback?

Rumors about Heath’s return to the stage have been making rounds for a while now. Recently, Heath’s friend and 4x Mr. Olympia, Jay Cutler, teased fans hinting towards the bodybuilder’s probable comeback. In a viral video, Cutler was asked if he was going to train Heath for his rumored comeback. Instead of answering with words, Cutler with eight fingers subtly implied that Heath was all set to claim his 8th Olympia title.

All this while, Phil Heath was standing on the sidelines, watching Cutler’s antics. Furthermore, Cutler asked for the photo to be saved, as it will prove to be iconic in the future. Though the bodybuilders are teasing about the comeback, no definite announcement has been made yet.
