And later it elevated to the top of the box office charts for years. However, their first meeting provided the tone needed for the movie to work out. As the duo met for the first time, Tucker was unsure whether Chan understood the language, English. So, he had initial doubts about working with him.

Their debut meeting turned heads when Tucker mentioned,??I was kind of scared because [Jackie Chan] didn?t say anything in the first meeting when we met each other?”?But things fell into place, and the rest, as they say, is history.?

“We were in a meeting, talking about the movie. Jackie didn?t say anything the whole time. He was just nodding his head.?Tucker continued,?“I pulled the director aside after the meeting, and I was like, ?Does he speak English? There?s no way we can do this movie if he doesn?t speak English. I got to have him communicating with me,”?mentioned?Tucker.?

However, the director reassured Tucker about Chan’s personality and how he was warming up for the thrills to be shown in the movie.?

Unsure of him in the first place, Tucker and Chan ultimately bonded toward creating a witty masterpiece. Tucker continued,?“So that was the whole thing I came up with ?Do you understand the words that are coming out of my mouth?? The first time I met him I was like, ?Does he understand English? Does he speak English?? I just took that, and that was the movie right there.”
