Despite carrying the tag of underdogs in this year’s MLB playoffs, the Atlanta Braves pulled off a stunning win over the Los Angeles Dodgers in the NLCS. While several players on the franchise played their part, 30-year-old Eddie Rosario took home the NLCS MVP trophy for his stunning display of talent.
Following the Braves’ Game 6 victory yesterday, Rosario admitted winning this trophy was his dream. In addition, he revealed his plans for the upcoming World Series, where they will face the Houston Astros.

Atlanta Braves star Eddie Rosario expresses jubilation after winning the NLCS MVP trophy
Rosario joined the Braves midway through the season from the Cleveland Indians in exchange for Pablo Sandoval. Since his arrival in July, the 30-year-old never looked back, producing world class performances on a regular basis.
In fact, he stepped things up during the postseason, especially in the NLCS against the Dodgers. Rosario recorded 14 hits during the series, which is the most in the Braves’ history. He also recorded a batting average of 0.500 in the series, while making crucial plays that led him to win the NLCS MVP trophy.
In yesterday’s game, the Puerto Rican scored a crucial three-run home run to put the Braves in a controlling position. Prior to that, he scored the all-important RBI single to give the Braves back-to-back walk-off victories in Game 2 at Truist Park.
This showed the immense quality of Rosario, who will be one of the Braves’ most critical players in the World Series. During an interview after yesterday’s game, Rosario admitted winning the NLCS MVP made him very happy. He said, “That’s my dream. I can’t believe right now at the moment.”

Game 1 of the World Series to take place this Tuesday
The Braves will take on the Houston Astros in the best-of-seven series, which starts this Tuesday. Since the Astros have a better regular season record, they will get home advantage for this year’s World Series.
This means Game 1 will take place at the Minute Maid Park this Tuesday. While the Braves may not have home advantage unlike the NLCS, they will hope to make a strong start as they seek their first World Series title since 1995.
